Zatch Bell Spell Book Replica

made from a red sketch book, textured with hints of darker red paint on outside for texture, then symbols done in gold acrylic on outside

inside pages all stuck together except center spread where I did the spell markings

the main annoyance with this was how gibberish the symbols are, there's no discernable pattern for them and had to guestimate some.

pages were slightly textured with ivory paint for weathering look.

new to the scene of making props like this but for my first try I think this turned out quite nice.

remember spells unlocked are in color of book hence the red and those not are in different color, based on screenshots I saw blue for zatch's book.

minor detail to note, while screenshots and refs can often show the detail lines on the outside of the book being black (like this fc04.deviantart.net/fs70/i/201… ) , I made it gold based on the official spell book product I got off of ebay for the card game (this one 940ee6dce6677fa01d25-0f55c9129… ) , which had the lines as gold. I felt gold stood out more and looked nicer anyway.
